The Patrick Henry Caucus

Early this year, with the news full of bailouts, a new federal stimulus package, skyrocketing national debt, and ever-increasing restrictions on the constitutional rights of people and states, a fellow representative and good friend, Rep. Carl Wimmer, began to ponder the idea of forming a legislative caucus with the sole purpose of working to preserve state sovereignty. 

After preparing preliminary goals and a platform, Carl approached me and a few other legislators and we began to discuss his ideas in depth.  The more we discussed, the more enthusiastic we became.
