Take Back Utah! Capitol Parade & Rally
This event will be huge. We hope it to be a turning point for elected officials. The federal government has controlled the use of public land in Utah to the detriment of our citizens. Access to public land is important for a number of reasons from providing recreational opportunities to developing much needed resources. Our society depends on natural resources to grow and sustain a high quality of life. Even our public education system benefits from dollars derived from resource extraction on public, land and other public land related matters. We must have RESPONSIBLE and reasonable access to public land. The trend in federal agencies is to close roads, ignore state and county rights, and disregard what is best for local citizens. Federal agencies receive intense pressure to close land from liberal politicians and radical environmentalists. Politicians that are sympathetic to our plight often lack the backbone to fight for us. This event is intended to show strength and unity in our community. We expect this to be the beginning of a aggressive new movement.
