MIKE WINDER is an at-large West Valley City Councilman, a vice president of Winder Farms, 2nd vice president of the Utah League of Cities and Towns, a member of the Utah Board of State History, and the author of five published books--including the regional bestseller Presidents and Prophets: The Story of America’s Presidents and the LDS Church. He holds an MBA and Honors BA in History from the University of Utah, and a Leadership Certificate from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Previously Winder was West Valley City’s Business Development Manager, chair of the Chamber West Economic Development Committee, chair of the Research Committee for the Huntsman/Herbert Campaign, and Deputy Campaign Manager to Congressman Jim Hansen. KEVIN FAYLES is Community Relations Manager for Envision Utah, a non-profit organization that brings together residents, elected officials, developers, conservationists, business leaders and other interested parties to make informed decisions about Utah’s growth. Previously, Fayles spent 10 years with the Work Activity Center (a West Valley agency which assists adults with disabilities), managing fund-raising, volunteers, and human resources. A graduate of UCLA, Fayles also holds an Honors MPA from the University of Utah, where his final project focused on comparing “State of the State” addresses of past Utah governors. He has served on the West Valley City Board of Adjustment and the West Valley Transportation Sub-Committee, along with the boards of Best Buddies Utah and Community/Shares Utah. Fayles stinks at putting up Christmas lights and has yet to publish any books, but his wife has co-authored seven of them. (She puts up the Christmas lights, too.) Fayles is married to the former Wendy Kay Millard, and is the father of three very unique, but awesome, children. You can learn more about Fayles at www.kevinfayles.com.
