'Another George Will Conservative on Afghanistan'

At The Corner, National Review's Kathryn Jean Lopez reports on her interview Monday with Rep. Jason Chaffetz about his call to pull troops out of Afghanistan: "Chaffetz's reasoning is that we ought to 'go big or go home.' If reports about the troop boost the president plans are accurate, Chaffetz views that strategy as 'cutting the cake in half' and 'just fundamentally wrong.' And so the congressman says his is 'the George Will approach,' which he describes as 'take the troops home' and then let surgical forces 'do what they need to do when they have actionable intelligence.' ... Further, Chaffetz emphasizes that 'in many ways I think we have won the fight in the war.'"
