Ask-An-Expert: How to Get a Foothold in Politics
Utah Policy Daily interviewed Kirk Jowers, director of the Hinckley Institute of Politics, on how to find a job in national politics.
UPD: What general advice do you have for Utahns wanting to get involved in the national political scene?
JOWERS: I highly recommend going local first. It is very easy to get involved with your local political leaders and you can make an immediate impact. For college students, an internship is a great start. If you are truly focused on national politics, the offices of your U.S. Members of Congress can be a great start.
