Conservatives Outnumber Liberals, Moderates
A new Gallup poll says conservatives are still the largest ideological group in the United States. According to the survey, 40% of Americans describe their political views as conservative. 36% describe themselves as moderate, while 20% are liberal.
From 2005 to 2008 most Americans described themselves as moderate, while the number of Americans who identify themselves as liberal has never topped 22% since 1992.
