Gehrke: Hot Tub Encounter Became Newsworthy After 2002

At Out of Context, Salt Lake Tribune political reporter Robert Gehrke says that while he can't fault the Deseret News for choosing not to run a story about the Kevin Garn hot tub incident when reporters learned about it in 2002, he's having "a hard time understanding how the hot tubbing allegations and the payments were not deemed newsworthy in the intervening eight years, particularly as Garn returned to politics."
