The Six Laws of Political Persuasion

Politics is all about negotiation and persuasion. Whether pushing a bill through the Legislature or campaigning for voter support, policymakers must negotiate and persuade others to support their cause. Those who are skilled in the art of persuasion usually win. Proficiency in the art of negotiation and persuasion is something campaigners and policymakers can learn.

I've seen several versions of the Six Laws of Persuasion. The one I like best is included in Robert Cialdini's book, "Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion. These are written for business, but they also apply to politics. Most negotiations are won by those who understand -- and how to leverage -- these six laws. ...
