To the Barricades, Mon Ami!

Senator Orrin Hatch has a one-word suggestion for Americans if Congress passes health care reform.  “Rebel.”

The Chicago Tribune’s “Swamp” blog reports that Hatch thinks Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid needs to get some Republicans on board before passage.

"It all depends on Ben Nelson of Nebraska, and the two senators from Arkansas, and of course Landrieu down there in New Orleans in Louisiana,'' Hatch said of Reid's vote count. "don't know how they could vote for this bill...

"If you can't get 70 or 80 votes on a bill that affects one-sixth of the American economy, you know it is a lousy bill,'' the Republican senator maintained. "This is a lousy bill that is going to cost American tax payers like mad for the rest of our lives, if they happen to pass it. I hope the American people rebel."
