Real Women Run spring training registrations climbing

Following the record turnout at the Real Women Run Winter Training and a successful first-ever Southern Utah Training, registrations for the Spring Training are up 40%.

More than 80 women have signed up for the Real Women Run Spring Training on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute, Thomas S. Monson Center, 411 East South Temple, Salt Lake City.

“We’re thrilled to see such a positive response to this year’s Real Women Run trainings. Women are ready to step into leadership roles and make a difference in their communities. The Spring Training is designed to delve into the details of launching a campaign and providing potential candidates and their campaign staff guidance on everything from filing for candidacy to winning an election,” says Real Women Run Organizing Committee Member and YWCA Director of Public Policy Erin Jemison.

The day’s theme is “Are You Ready to Get to Work?” and presentations will cover messaging, media, research, demographics, fundraising, and campaign insights from local leaders.

Salt Lake City Mayor Jackie Biskupski will give a keynote address at 9:00 AM. Speakers include Sherrie Everett, Nicole Martin, Abby Coura, Marcia White, Paige Albrecht, Hylton Early, Marla Kennedy, Lauren Littlefield, Lisa Ramsey Adams, Silvia Catten, and Karen Peterson.

Lunch is included in the $15 registration fee. Register at realwomenrun.org.
