The Office of the State Auditor released its Audit of The Utah State Board of Education Dual Language Immersion Program focusing on federal grants received for language immersion education.
The audit includes the following 6 findings:
- USBE Mismanaged Federal Funds
- USBE Failed to Provide Adequate Monitoring of DLI Program Activities
- Improper Compensation to DLI Program Manager
- Weaknesses Related to DLI Directors
- Unallowable Costs and Inadequate Documentation
- School Staff Improperly Paid with Federal Program Funds
