Chris Boyle named Chairman Of Utah District Export Council

Global Access President and Founder Chris Boyle was recently named Chairman of the Utah District Export Council.

The Utah DEC is a volunteer organization made up of Utah business people appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce in recognition of their international business experience and leadership. Council members offer local small-to-medium sized businesses advice and mentoring on conducting business across borders and also lend their expertise to complement the U.S. Commercial Service’s efforts to promote Utah exports.

“I’m honored to be appointed Chairman of the Utah DEC, which has helped so many Utah companies expand into international markets,” Boyle said. “I truly enjoy mentoring Utah business people just striking out beyond our borders and helping get the word out about all of the world-class products that are made here.”

Mr. Boyle founded Global Access® in 2002 as a technology and logistics services provider assisting direct selling companies in reaching international consumers, primarily in Asia Pacific. Today, Global Access® is a recognized leader in cross-border solutions around the world reaching both international eCommerce consumers and marketplaces and direct sellers. In 2017 Global Access was named a finalist for the Direct Selling Association’s (DSA) Partnership Award.

Fluent in Japanese, Mr. Boyle spent 10 years living and working abroad and is heavily involved in efforts to support clean water projects and sustainable educational development in Africa, most notably with the group Engage Now Africa.

The Utah DEC is one of 58 DECs working to increase and promote exports in their local communities. Each council has approximately 30 members.
