Call for nominations – EDCUtah Annual Leadership in Economic Development Awards

On September 12 the Economic Development Corporation of Utah (EDCUtah) will recognize two individuals and one organization that have made a significant impact on the economic landscape of Utah. Nominations are now open for the following recognition:

Nick Rose Award for Leadership in Economic Development: Given to an individual from the private sector that has demonstrated exceptional dedication to EDCUtah, and economic development throughout the state. Previous recipients have included Derek Miller (WTC Utah), Lew Cramer (CBC Advisors) and Don Cash (Questar Gas).

Thayne Robson Award for Leadership in Economic Development: Given to an individual from the public sector that has demonstrated exceptional dedication to EDCUtah, and economic development throughout the state. Previous recipients have included Mayor John Curtis (Provo City), Mayor Tom Dolan (Sandy City), and Lynn Pett, (former Mayor of Murray City).

Cornerstone in Economic Development Award: Given to associations, organizations or developments that have merit far beyond their own boundaries and have had profound and long-term positive impact on the state’s economy. The first Cornerstone Award was given last year to City Creek Reserve.
