Congressman Rob Bishop recognized by U.S. Chamber for pro-business votes

Congressman Rob Bishop (R-UT) was recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for his pro-business votes, along with other members of the 115th Congress.

The Chamber, the world’s largest business organization, honored the congressman with the prestigious Spirit of Enterprise Award for his strong support of business-friendly policies during the past year.

Congressman Bishop’s support of pro-growth and pro-jobs policies are no secret. The Congressman has long been an advocate for policies that facilitate the creation of jobs and higher wages.

“Businesses are often made to look like the bad guy in today’s Washington,” said Congressman Bishop. “The truth of it is, it’s business and capitalism that help lift us into prosperity. I see the success stories of businesses in Utah, both large and small, all the time. Their success benefits the state and federal government with tax revenue, the people who want and need their goods and services, as well as the employees that make it all happen.”

Congressman Bishop supported the Tax Cuts and Jobs act in 2017. The law has already helped alleviate the tax burden on both individuals and businesses in Utah, resulting in a much-needed economic boost.

The congressman will be formally presented with the award at a Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce event in May.
