EDCUtah announces staff changes

EDCUtah is very excited to announce the promotions of two of our team members.

Colby Cooley, currently a Business Development Manager at EDCUtah, has accepted a new role as the Director of EDCUtah’s Global Strategy & Outreach (GS&O) program. For the past three years, Colby has managed some of Utah’s most important and complex corporate recruiting projects and demonstrated a keen ability to build relationships, manage multifaceted processes and get deals over the finish line. As EDCUtah’s point person for the Aerospace and Outdoor Products industries, Colby has built a global network of contacts and relationships that have improved Utah’s position on dozens of projects and he has become a trusted advisor to businesses investigating Utah for potential investment. In his new role as the Director of GS&O, Colby will continue to lead EDCUtah’s Aerospace recruiting program and will now take the lead role in developing and executing the organization’s annual proactive outreach schedule.

Taylor Brightwell, currently EDCUtah’s Marketing Manager, has accepted a new role as a Business Development Manager and will assume responsibility for EDCUtah’s Outdoor Products recruiting program. Taylor has been with EDCUtah for six years and over that time worked in a number of different marketing roles. For the past year, he has worked to improve EDCUtah’s content marketing strategy, sales collateral and lead the organization’s event program. As a result of his experience, Taylor has a detailed understanding of the “Utah Pitch” and will now play a lead role in working directly with companies investigating Utah for potential expansion and relocation. Additionally, as the point person for EDCUtah’s Site Selector marketing initiatives, Taylor has developed a broad set of relationships with this important stakeholder group which the company can now leverage for increased deal flow.

“Both Colby and Taylor have done a tremendous job for our organization,” said Theresa Foxley, EDCUtah President & CEO. “We are confident that they will excel in these new roles”

Colby and Taylor will transition into their new roles throughout the summer and will assume full responsibility August 1.
