Governor appoints Richard Mrazik to the Third District Court

Gov. Gary R. Herbert has appointed Richard Mrazik as a judge on the Third District Court.

“Richard Mrazik is a dedicated worker with an excellent understanding of the law,” Gov. Herbert said. “I am confident that he will be a strong addition to the bench.”

Mrazik has most recently worked as an Associate Attorney at Parsons Behle & Latimer, and has served as municipal counsel for the Town of Alta. He was previously at Rooker Mohrman Rawlins & Bailey and has served on the board of the Utah Bar Foundation and the Salt Lake County Bar Association. He received his J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.

“I greatly appreciate the trust placed in me by Governor Herbert,” Mrazik said. “If confirmed by the Senate, I will give my very best to the Third District Court and the people of Utah.”

Subject to confirmation by the Utah Senate, Mrazik will fill the vacancy left by Justice Petersen.
