Utah | Water is Your Business Week

Water is a critical issue and a foundation of our economic prosperity for our state.

The Salt Lake Chamber is excited to announce Utah | Water is Your Business Week from August 4 to August 8.

We invite you to join business and community leaders to discuss water infrastructure and the impact of water availability on our economy, business environment and economic development efforts. We will also be sharing stories about Utah businesses that are making a difference on water conservation, management and stewardship.

This week will also launch the Salt Lake Chamber’s water committee, including the announcement of key business leaders as the co-chairs, a single-day focus on business leadership in water conservation, a single-day focus on infrastructure needs, and a luncheon of community and business leaders discussing the importance water infrastructure and availability.

On Tuesday, Aug. 5, community and business leaders will discuss the importance of water infrastructure and availability at a special luncheon held at the Jordan Valley Conservation Gardens Park in West Jordan. This will include a keynote from Jim Lochhead of Denver Water. Mr. Lochhead is a thought leader on the economic value of water and has forged key partnerships between the water and business communities in Colorado. The luncheon will also include a firsthand look at a soon-to-be released report detailing the economic value of water to Utah.

Water has a major impact on our economy. Be a part of the discussion with Utah: Water Is Your Business Week now. To register for the luncheon or to learn more visit slchamber.com/waterisyourbusiness. Follow along on our Twitter @saltlakechamber and #UTbiz4H2O.
