Hatch to Hold Hearing on Financing Options for the Highway Trust Fund

Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) will convene a hearing on Thursday, June 25, to examine financing options for the highway trust fund. 

The hearing, titled “Unlocking the Private Sector:  State Innovations in Financing Transportation Infrastructure,” will take place at10:00 a.m. inRoom 215 of theDirksen Senate Office Building.  The hearing comes a week after the Committee held a hearing on funding options for the highway trust fund.

“After a robust hearing that explored responsible and sustainable funding options for the highway trust fund, the Committee will now turn and look at financing options, with a focus on how states are working with the private sector,” Hatch said.  “This hearing will allow committee members to continue the conversation of how we can promote sensible policies that allow states to better determine and act on their infrastructure needs.”

The witnesses at Thursday’s hearing are:
