UtahPolicy.com’s political experts and our readers nominated Utah political power players and organizations for this year’s bracket. We picked the top 64 and seeded them in a “March Madness” style tournament.
Now it’s up to you, our loyal readers, to pick the winners of each matchup until we’ve decided Utah’s ultimate political power player.
Let’s look at some of the tournament seedings:
#1 Seeds
These are the top political players in Utah – statewide officeholders and those with the most clout.

– Orrin Hatch
– Mike Lee
– Gary Herbert
It made sense to put our four U.S. House members as #2 seeds in our bracket.
The #3 seeds in our tournament are a pack of already influential figures who have their eye on higher office. Ben McAdams is the top-seeded Democrat in our competition. Spencer Cox, Greg Hughes, and Sean Reyes all have their eye on the governor’s mansion in 2020.
