Rep. Mia Love snagged a guest spot on Fox & Friends Wednesday morning to lament the treatment of Sen. Ted Cruz after his announcement he was running for the 2016 GOP nomination.
Mediaite highlighted Love's appearance with guest host Kimberly Guilfoyle:
“Are we surprised that the mainstream media is going to bash a conservative?” Love said. “You just have to ignore it and continue to go and represent people.”
Guilfoyle wondered why the media didn’t celebrate the GOP’s diversity. “You have people stepping out as stars of the GOP, like yourself: a woman, an African-American, coming forward, representing those principals,” Guilfolye said. “We see that with Senator Cruz as well. Why can’t we highlight the positive aspects of that achievement and that growth?"
