Diverse Business Day at the Legislature

The Salt Lake City’s Mayor’s Office of Diversity & Human Rights is hosting the 6 th annual Diverse Business Day at the Legislature on February 22, 2012 at the Utah Capitol from 9 am-12 noon. Steve Hatch is special guest speaker. Hatch Family Chocolates was founded in 2003 by Steve and his wife Katie Masterson. Both became professionals in this field by learning intricate techniques of hand dipping chocolates and making quality confections from generations prior. The Hatch’s established the Salt Lake City Avenues storefront to ensure their family’s tradition for chocolate making carried on. In 2010, the local family business was also featured on a TLC program called “Little Chocolatiers,” which followed the lives of the Hatch’s, who also happen to be little people.

Learn more about Mr. Hatch and his local family business at the Diverse Business Day at the Legislature. The agenda will include breakfast, advocacy training by Communities United and a formal recognition from both House & Senate Floors. There is no cost to attend. You may RSVP by 2/20/12 to mayor@slcgov.com or call 801-535-7704.
