Native American Summit, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Salt Lake City Marriott University Park, 480 Wakara Way, Salt Lake City.

The Native American Summit is an annual event hosted by the Offices of the Governor and Lieutenant Governor, the Utah Department of Community and Culture, and the Utah Division of Indian Affairs.  The Summit presents speakers, presentations, breakout sessions, and panels to educate attendees on the current issues and developments prevalent among Utah’s American Indians and focuses on Healthcare, Education, Economic Development, Housing, and Emergency Management.  The Summit also provides opportunities for participants to engage in open dialogue in creating solutions to problems with the goal of building and strengthening relationships among tribal members
