In another shot at the Republican incumbent, the conservative group “Club for Growth” is pushing Senator Bob Bennett to sign a pledge to repeal any healthcare reform passed by Congress this year.
Club President Chris Chocola says three of the candidates challenging Bennett for the Republican nomination (Mike Lee, Tim Bridgewater and Cherilyn Eagar) have already signed the pledge.
“The pledge is a pact a candidate makes to his voters to protect and defend America’s constitutional principles of economic liberty, limited government, and individual choice,” Chocola said. “I would hope that is something that even Charlie Crist and Bob Bennett could sign onto.”
