Urquhart: For UEG Leaders, End Justifies the Means

Sen. Steve Urquhart accuses Utahns for Ethical Government leaders David Irvine and Kim Burningham of hypocrisy and dishonesty, noting:

In their 'campaign for honest, open and responsible government,' [Irvine and Burningham] publicly represented that a deadline of April 15th existed to collect signatures for their initiative drive. Now, though, they’ve changed their story. Despite their prior representations to the contrary, they say they've believed for some time that the actual deadline is August 12th. ... They were not honest and open in their professed quest for honesty and openness, because honesty and openness would have got in their way. The end justified the means. It was a case of openness and honesty for thee, but not for me.
