Karl Rove says he doesn't think there will be a third-party presidential candidate in 2012.
Rove tells NewsMax.com that the desire by Republicans to remove President Obama from office is so great, it will kill any third-party effort.
“I think there will be talk about it. But at the end of the day you have to have people who are willing to get behind that particular candidate, and I think there are too many people who feel so passionately about the necessity of removing President Obama from office that while in normal times they might be infatuated with a third party candidacy, this time around they’ll be very reluctant to do it."
“As I travel around the country I talk with a lot of tea party leaders. Ross Perot is in front and foremost of their minds. He gave us Bill Clinton for eight years. They don’t want to have a third party candidate split the center-right vote and give us another four years of President Obama.”
