Gad! Conservatives are abandoning Mitt Romney in droves.
A new Washington Post/ABC News survey shows that just 38% of "very conservative" Americans have a favorable view of Romney. That's his lowest mark in the 2012 campaign, and it's down a whopping 16 points in 2 weeks.
Rick Santorum is doing much better with those Americans, with 60% holding a favorable view.

Broken down by gender, both maile and female conservative Republicans and independents are shying away from Romney as well. 46% of men and 45% of women have a favorable view of Romney, which is down 14 and 10 points respectively in a week.

Among independents, Barack Obama has the highest favorability rating at 49%. Santorum is at 32% and Romney is at 29%.
