Parse this news as you see fit. It looks like the "fainting spell" phenomenon is starting to make a comeback at Obama campaign stops.
The New York Times says three people have fainted at Obama rallies in the last month. The latest resurgence echoes similar events from 2008.
Maybe it’s his energy policies, since Mr. Obama discussed them at each of the events. But maybe not.
Fainting spells have come over people during Mr. Obama’s speeches since at least 2008, when he was campaigning for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Mr. Obama appears to have gotten used to it. At the Nashua event, he said, “Folks do this all the time at my meetings.”
At each event, he used the moment to remind attendees to eat a good meal. In Nashua, he told the crowd, “You have to eat ahead of time, keep your blood sugar up.”
