Another Republican heavy hitter is coming to Utah to raise money for Mia Love.

House Speaker John Boehner is headed to Salt Lake City to hold a fundraiser for Love on August 15th.



For $10,000, attendees at the private event can participate in a panel discussion with Speaker Boehner. There's also a $2,500 photo opportunity. Tickets to the luncheon alone are $500.

In a statement provided to Utah Policy, Mayor Love says "It is obviously a great honor to have the Speaker of the House come to Utah, and I am very grateful for his support. Speaker Boehner is on the front lines fighting to stop Barack Obama's agenda of tax, borrow, spend, and expand. The people of Utah support the Speaker in that fight, and all of their representatives in Congress should too. Obama's policies have been a disaster for our country and our state, and Utah cannot afford to have representatives in Washington like Jim Matheson who have facilitated those policies."
