Poll: JFK is Top Modern President, Reagan Second, Clinton Third

Nearly 3/4 of Americans say JFK was an “outstanding” president, ranking him tops among those who have occupied the White House since the end of World War Two.

The Gallup survey shows Kennedy occupies the top spot among modern presidents, followed by Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and Dwight Eisenhower. Barack Obama comes in 5th while George W. Bush is 8th. Richard Nixon fares the worst in the survey.

Kennedy also had the highest approval rating while in office, coming in at 70%. Jimmy Carter was the worst at just 46% aproval.
