
Senator Bramble will serve one year as vice president, move to president-elect the following year, and then become president at the NCSL Legislative Summit in 2015.

Â “We face challenges, but we also have the experience and ability to arrive at solutions Â- and the best solutions are to be found among the geniuses and patriots of America’s laboratories of democracy, the states.”

Senator Bramble was elected to serve Utah’s 16th senate district in 2000. His senate assignments have included Majority Leader, and Chairmanships of the Revenue and Tax, Business and Labor, and Retirement Committees. He currently serves as Senate President Pro Tem.
Senator Bramble’s NCSL work includes service on the Executive Committee, the Committee on Committees, the Immigration Task Force and the State and Local Tax Task Force.

After beginning his college career at the University of Notre Dame, Bramble earned his Bachelors and Masters degree from Brigham Young University. He founded Bramble & Company CPAs, which has since merged with Gilbert & Stewart CPAs in Provo.
Senator Bramble lives in Provo, Utah, with his wife Susie. They have six children and six grandchildren. Â In his free time, he hikes, boats, and flies hot air balloons.
