Even though Democrat Lynn Hemingway is retiring, we expect this seat to remain in Democratic hands. Now that Salt Lake County Associate Deputy Mayor Justin Miller is that party’s nominee, the odds of this seat remaining in the “blue” column got a lot stronger.
Miller proved he has formidable political chops by guiding Democrat Ben McAdams’ effort in 2012. That experience will come in handy as he takes on librarian Peter Kraus.
