Utahns want the new Republican-controlled Congress to focus on issues like immigration reform, fixing social security and reducing the federal debt. Climate change? Not so much.
Our latest UtahPolicy.com poll asked Utahns which issues they feel are most important for Congress to focus on.
- 76% say immigration reform is an important issue.
- 78% identified funding shortages for Social Security
- Nearly 83% said the federal debt
- 74% pointed to tax reform
- 50% said they want Congress to pass the Keystone XL pipeline
- Just 30% said climate change
The survey was conducted by Dan Jones and Associates December 2-10, 2014 among 609 Utah voters. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.97%.
