What would you ask one of journalism’s most venerated editors and reporters if you had the chance?
Attendees at the Governor’s Economic Summit in Salt Lake City will have the chance to do just that, as Thomas C. Post, Ph.D., former managing editor for Forbes Media, editor/producer for ABC World News Tonight, and general editor of Newsweek speaks on Friday, April 17, at 11:00 a.m.
Post left Forbes in January 2015 to join thought leadership and PR firm SnappConner PR as SVP, Content Strategy, and is heading up the development and launch of Content University™, premiering in Salt Lake City this month.
At the Summit, Post will address the dramatic changes afoot in traditional journalism, based on his own experiences and on pervasive industry trends. He will also talk about what these shifts will mean to today’s organizations, as they must learn to blend old methodologies with new communication via quality (not promotional) content, and learn to tell their corporate stories directly, in interesting and educational ways.
The session will conclude with a fireside chat that turns the tables on Post as a former journalist lead allowing PR lead Cheryl Snapp Conner to present the audience’s most challenging interview questions to Tom.
For those who plan to attend the Summit, now is your chance to submit your best and hardest questions to Tom Post in advance. Tweet your thoughts via #UtahSummit by Friday morning, and Post will answer as many questions as possible during the 11:00 a.m. breakout event.
