The state comes in with a C-minus, which ranks the Beehive State as #32 in the nation.
Utah earned a B-minus for “chance of success,” which looks at the impact of the state’s educational system on a person’s entire academic career. Utah finished at #17 in this category.
The state got a D-minus for “school finance,” which looks at how well schools are funded. That grade put Utah at #47 among the 50 states and District of Columbia.
On the K-12 achievement, which measures reading and math performance, high school graduation rates and advanced placement exam scores, Utah finished at #14 with a C grade.
