Real Women Run hosts an evening of networking and discussion for women who want to get involved in politics as candidates, campaign managers, or community leaders on November 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Log Haven.
There will be a panel featuring Senator Deidre Henderson (District 7) and Salt Lake County Sheriff Rosie Rivera facilitated by Lara Jones, KRCL 90.9FM Executive Producer and Host of RadioActive.
“Good representation by elected officials requires an understanding of what the public wants and what would benefit those whom we represent. Women are often very perceptive of this and we simply need more women in public office. Women being only 20% of the Utah Legislature is not sufficient. Come join us and begin the journey of public service,” said Sheryl Allen, former Utah State Representative and founding member of Real Women Run, who will give opening remarks.
