Congressman John Curtis, a member of the Small Business Committee, posed several questions in a full committee hearing about the imminent threat posed to America’s small businesses by the Chinese telecommunications firm ZTE.
The hearing provided committee Members the opportunity to engage with national security experts and cybersecurity firms on steps the administration can take to protect small businesses and American citizens from the dangers presented by ZTE.
“Over the last several years, we’ve witnessed bad foreign actors take steps to infiltrate America’s infrastructure and weaken our national security,” said John Curtis. “Small businesses are not immune from cyber-attacks and are actually top targets by these nefarious actors because they lack the necessary resources to defend themselves.”
