Utah officials help co-host the annual conference of the National Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers and Treasurers

 

State Auditor John Dougall, State Treasurer David Damschen, and State Division of Finance Director John Reidhead are helping co-host the annual conference of the National Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers and Treasurers (NASACT).   

The conference will be held in Salt Lake City, August 11-15, 2018.  We welcome NASACT President Roger Norman (Legislative Auditor of Arkansas) and our state colleagues from across the nation. 

The conference proceedings will include addresses from Utah leaders including Jonathan E. Johnson III, President, Medici Ventures and Director, Overstock.com, and Kristen Cox, Executive Director, Utah Governor’s Office of Management and Budget.  Johnson will address the topic of “Blockchain:  What is it & How is it Actually Being Used?” and Cox will address “Leader’s Mindset”. 

State Auditor Dougall said, “We are delighted to help host NASACT’s annual conference, welcoming elected and appointed state officials to Utah. We appreciate this opportunity to collaborate on important financial issues facing our respective states and the federal government.”

State Treasurer Damschen said, “We are thrilled to have this meeting of minds in Utah and grateful for the opportunity to showcase our beautiful state, while exchanging ideas and information that enable us to administer sound financial policies and programs.”

Director Reidhead comments, “NASACT is the premier organization working to bring together state auditors, state comptrollers and state treasurers to cooperatively address government financial management issues.”
