Learn about the new U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA or NAFTA 2.0) from Daniel Watson, the Deputy Chief Negotiator for the United States. Daniel Watson is the Deputy Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for North America at the Office of the United States Trade Representative. Previously, Mr. Watson was a Deputy Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Southeast Asia, where he served as the lead negotiator for the chapters on competition policy and state-owned enterprises in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations. He has also served as the lead negotiator for energy services, “Mode 4” (temporary entry of personnel), domestic regulation, and express delivery services at the World Trade Organization (WTO), as well as the lead for the bilateral services dialogue in the U.S.-India Trade Policy Forum. Mr. Watson will be joined by Joseph Brubaker, international lawyer and chair of the International Section of the Utah Bar, and by MilAes Hansen, president and CEO of World Trade Center Utah. Lunch will be provided.
