WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) Thursday will participate in a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on the United States’ strategy to counter China’s growing influence in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond.
Earlier this year, the Senate unanimously passed Romney’s Indo-Pacific Cooperation Act of 2019, legislation to require the U.S. to partner with allies in the Indo-Pacific region, Europe, and elsewhere, to develop a unified approach to address the rise of China.
The hearing will be livestreamed on the committee website for the public and members of the press.
