US Senator Mitt Romney endorsed Salt Lake County Mayoral Candidate Trent Staggs on Friday.
In the following statement Senator Romney said:
“Trent Staggs has the integrity, compassion, and experience needed to lead Salt Lake County toward a brighter future. Salt Lake County’s budget and programs are in need of serious reform. Trent has proven he can get results on the issues that matter such as air quality, homelessness, smart growth, fiscal responsibility, and more.
We need more collaborative, bi-partisan, and visionary leaders in public service. Trent Staggs has my full endorsement.”
In welcomed news to what has been a strong, well-managed campaign, Trent Staggs said:
“In a time of divisive, partisan politics in Washington DC, Senator Romney has a heavy burden and we’re thankful for his dedicated service.
