WEBINAR: I-15 Technology Corridor

The I-15 Technology Corridor is a freeway project that widened Interstate 15 from four to six lanes in each direction from Main Street to Timpanogos Highway in Lehi, Utah. The project also upgraded two interchanges and built a new frontage road system.

This $450 million project was originally designed to improve traffic flow and upgrade essential roadway infrastructure in the area. In addition to these improvements, Utah’s transportation agencies wanted to ensure that biking and walking facilities were better integrated into the project design.

Consequently, they teamed with Smart Growth America to identify opportunities for connecting regional trails, increasing safety for multi-modal transportation users, and improving the overall experience for pedestrians and cyclists.

Their efforts led to important changes to the overall project design. Learn more about the collaborative process they undertook and how it is improving the quality of life for area residents and visitors. The webinar will be Wednesday, December 9 from 10 am to 11 am. It will be moderated by Dr. Eileen Barron, a Strategic Communications Manager for the Utah Department of Transportation. Panelists Include:
