St. George Chamber of Commerce announces new board members

The St. George Area Chamber of Commerce (SGACC) is pleased to announce the election of Rebecca Box, Assistant Vice President at Security Services Federal Credit Union as the new chair of the board of directors and Kyle Case, CEO at the Huntsman World Senior Games as the board’s vice chair for the 2021 year. Brad Buhanan of America First Federal Credit Union will serve as past chair on the board as well.

“I am extremely confident in the leadership of Rebecca and Kyle as they lead the SGACC board forward,” said past chair, Brad Buhanan. “They are of the highest professional caliber, respected among their peers and visionaries in our community. They have a weighty responsibility to move the chamber forward in a meaningful way – to grow businesses, foster economic opportunity and give back to the community.”

Considered to be one of the highest-profile boards in Washington County, the work of this board has a strong ripple effect throughout the community. The board of directors serves as the administrative and policy-making arm of the chamber with board members being selected from the body of active chamber members. Together, they chart the course of the chamber and rally the business community to be active and engaged corporate citizens

“We are thrilled to welcome these talented new board members who bring their diverse backgrounds, skill sets and knowledge to the leadership of the chamber,” said Rebecca Box, 2021 chairwoman of the board of directors. “They were each carefully selected from a large group of nominees and provide a voice for their industry on the chamber board.”

The following are the individuals selected to serve a three-year term of service on the board

Tasha Toy, AVP for Campus Diversity & Chief Diversity Officer (CDO), Dixie State University

Shonie Christensen, Agent/Owner, The Shonie Allstate Insurance Group

Councilman Kurt Ivie, Washington City

Annie Howell, CFO, Watts Construction

Brenda Cody, Field Marketing Manager, TDS Telecommunications Corp.

The new board leadership and members will be recognized at the 2021 St. George Area Chamber of Commerce State of the Chamber luncheon on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the Dixie Convention Center at 11:30 A.M. The event will also feature a review of the chamber’s accomplishments over the last year and several significant announcements for the 2021 year.
