Voices for Utah Children has named Lincoln Nehring as its new President and Chief Executive Officer.
Nehring, the advocacy and research group’s senior health policy analyst since 2010, replaces Karen Crompton, who led Voices for 13 years and left to become Salt Lake County’s Associate Director of Human Services in December.
“Voices for Utah Children is celebrating its thirtieth anniversary this year,” said Nehring. “In 1985, advocating for children and families was the most important work we could do. It remains so today. I am honored to be able to lead the Voices for Utah Children team as we continue to advocate for public policy that improves the lives of children and families.”
Nehring was selected by an ad hoc committee comprised of Voices for Utah Children board and former board members, as well as external representatives of the nonprofit community.
Prior to joining Voices for Utah Children, Nehring was the Medicaid Policy Director at the Utah Health Policy Project. Nehring earned his Juris Doctor at the University of Oregon and is a member of the Utah State Bar. He also has a Masters Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Oregon. He was a Law Clerk for the Honorable Langhorne Keith of the Virginia Circuit Court and for Senator Orrin Hatch, U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
