On Saturday, March 28, 2015, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Real Women Run is holding a day of education for women planning to run for political office this spring and for those working on their campaigns.

This free training takes place at the Hinckley Institute of Politics on the University of Utah campus. Registration is required and available at www.realwomenrun.org or www.ywca.com.

The hands-on training will feature keynote speaker Sheryl Allen, former Representative for the 19th District of the Utah House of Representatives.

Following the keynote address, four workshops will focus on media and messaging; campaign and field organization; fundraising; and research and demographics.

“We have gathered a group of women with decades of experience running and winning elections. Their expertise ranges from fieldwork and fundraising to messaging and research. Those who attend the training will be given the tools and knowledge needed to run their own successful campaigns during the municipal elections in Utah,” says Morgan Lyon Cotti, Hinckley Institute of Politics Program Manager.
