The KORUS FTA has provided tangible benefits to both economies with increases in trading goods, services and investments and has also played a major role in developing bilateral economic cooperation. The Republic of Korea is the United States sixth-largest goods trading partner. The U.S. and the Republic of Korea belong to a number of the same international organizations, including Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the United Nations, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, G-20, World Trade Organization, Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Regional Forum, International Monetary Fund and World Bank.
