Senator Orrin G. Hatch, member and former chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, issued the following statement on the resignation of Secretary of Education Arne Duncan:
“While we have had our disagreements on policy matters, I admire Secretary Duncan’s commitment to meaningful reforms and his tireless efforts to improve education for all students. I have always appreciated my conversations with Secretary Duncan, and I know he will remain deeply committed to education reform in all future endeavors.”
