We speak with Washington Post columnist Greg Sargent about his new book An Uncivil War: Taking Back Our Democracy in an Age of Trumpian Disinformation and Thunderdome Politics.
Sargent discusses why our current political environment is so poisonous and what, if anything, can be done to turn down the temperature.
He also weighs in on why the media is still struggling to cover President Trump nearly two years after his election. He says many of the problems we’re facing now predate Trump, and they will likely outlast his time in the Oval Office.
