Utah is still waiting for a Medicaid waiver from the Trump administration ahead of Monday’s deadline to start the state’s scaled-back Medicaid expansion. Utah’s plan involves work requirements for recipients, but a federal judge just struck those requirements down in two other states.

Gov. Gary Herbert vetoes a bill setting the rules for special elections to replace members of Congress because it bars signature-gathering candidates from getting on the ballot. But, the Utah Legislature may not have enough support to override.
