Herbert 11th most-popular governor in the U.S.

A new national poll of all 50 governors puts Gov. Gary Herbert’s approval rating in Utah at 56%, which makes him the 11th most popular in the U.S.

Morning Consult’s quarterly survey of approval ratings for all 50 governors shows 56% of Utahns approve of Herbert’s job performance while 27% disapprove, giving him a net positive approval rating of +29. 17% of Utahns had no opinion.

Morning Consult’s numbers are far behind UtahPolicy.com’s polling, which shows 70% of Utahns approve of Herbert’s job performance, and 25% disapprove, giving him a net-positive approval of +45.

The most popular governor in the U.S. according to Morning Consult is Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker who scored 69% approval. 

Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin was the least popular in the poll, with just 19% approval.
