Mia Love Named a ‘Contender’ in GOP’s ‘Young Guns’ Program

4th Congressional District candidate Mia Love moves up the ladder in the National Republican Congressional Committee’s “Young Guns” program.

Love is one of 17 2014 candidates moving to the second tier of the program, called “contenders.”

Being named to that program is no small deal as it means Love will get more support from the NRCC in her bid for Congress.

According to Politico, a press release says these candidates are “on the path to developing a mature and competitive campaign operation.”

Love has been gunning for this seat since losing to Jim Matheson by just 768 votes in 2014. Now that Matheson has bowed out, Love looks to be the odds-on favorite to win this seat.
